In case of bite or scratch by an infected dog or other animals, regardless of age and gender, the local wound should be treated immediately (wash and flush with water or soap repeatedly, followed by application of tincture of iodine or ethanol for several times), and this vaccine should be injected in time according to the post-exposure prophylaxis; people in certain high-risk occupations (such as vets, animal breeders, foresters, slaughterhouse workers, and rabies experimenters) should receive prophylactic vaccination according to the pre-exposure prophylaxis.
